Who is Masoud Zamani ?

My name is Masoud Zamani. I think about law, power, and the human ambitions that shape political life — especially in the Middle East, and especially in Iran. These questions have shaped my life, my work, and my sense of responsibility toward the world.

I am based at the University of British Columbia (UBC), where I teach courses in international law and international relations. My scholarship appears in journals and policy forums, but this space is different. This space is personal. It is not an academic journal — it is my own room of thought.

Here, I write in my own voice.
Here, I explore ideas without the filters of institutional tone or diplomatic caution.

In this space, I share my commentaries, analysis, and creative expression — the way I actually think, feel, and argue — for those who want to engage deeply with the realities of law, conflict, and the future of this region.
